The TITAN UVC LED air duct Fixture is the most powerful device in the market. At 70 watts, it emits 2200mW (milli watts) of radiant flux at 280nm (nanometer) wavelength. That makes the Titan UVC LED air duct device a powerhouse for eradicating all airborne viruses including SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 virus), bacteria, and all other microorganisms such as mold that are present in the indoor air of buildings.

Compared to the old UVC lamp technology, Titan UVC LED air duct device robust, energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

UVC lamps are very fragile as they are made of glass and contain mercury which poses a huge risk because if the lamp breaks inside the duct, it will contaminate the whole building with mercury.

HEPA filers are not suitable and do not work for coronavirus virus as it can filter up to a minimum of 0.33 microns. Coronavirus is 0.11 microns, and the new variant is even smaller. Plus, if any coronavirus stick to the HEPA filter, it becomes a biohazard and cannot be handled or disposed off in a normal manner. In addition, HEPA filters are thick and will impede the HVAC airflow.

The Titan UVC LED air duct devices are engineered for field serviceability with reusable ‘plug and play’ parts. This makes it extremely easy to service the fixture onsite. NEXNORD uses all aluminum parts including aluminum circuit boards. Therefore, at the end of its life, NEXNORD recycles and refurbishes every part of the fixture. Unlike the old lamp technology, nothing from the Titan ends up in the landfill.

Installation

The Titan UVC LED air duct device are extremely easy to install inside the air ducts to disinfect indoor air. It is extremely safe as it is safely tucked inside the air duct and away from sight therefore will not pose any danger of UVC exposure to anyone.

The ideal installation location for the Titan is in the air intake section of the duct facing the air coming towards the device. The Titan will start eradicating the pathogens from 8 feet away as it is approaching the device. Therefore, before the pathogens reach the Titan, they are all eradicated.

Utilizing NEXNORD’s patent pending thermal management technology, the Titan UVC LED air duct devices feature the lowest thermal resistances minimizing the temperature of the UVC LEDs to ensure highest performance and long lifespan. The Titan UVC LED air duct devices utilize 280nm light wavelength which is 127% more effective than the lower wavelengths for eradicating airborne viruses, bacteria, and all other microorganisms present in any indoor air. Light wavelength below 241 nm will produce ozone which is toxic for humans or animals.

Working principle

The Titan UVC LED Air Purification Device’s 280nm wavelength at 2200mW of Radiant Flux provides enough energy to break the carbon bonds of virus's RNA and DNA starting from 8 feet away as it is traveling at 300 FPM through the return air intake duct towards the fixture. Once the carbon bonds are severed, the virus can no longer replicate, and is eradicated.
